Clearing a 140-person office at The Shard in one weekend
We cleared a whole office floor at The Shard over one weekend, using a single goods lift.

1The challenge
We were asked to clear a 140-person office on the sixth floor of The Shard. That meant the entire space: IT, furniture, audiovisual equipment including a video wall, and the kitchen equipment.
Because of loading bay constraints, only one goods lift was available. Everything on the floor had to go down that lift.
2What we did
A six-person team worked on the job for three days. On Friday we dismantled everything on the floor. On Saturday and Sunday we took it all down in the goods lift and out of the building. Seven lorries did individual runs.
3The result
The whole floor was cleared over one weekend. IT, furniture, AV and kitchen equipment had all gone by the end of Sunday.
On every job we reuse what we can and do everything we can to keep equipment out of landfill.
