Frequently Asked Questions
What does a data centre clearance involve?
We manage the full decommissioning process — from server, rack, and cabinet removal through to cabling strip-out, PDU/UPS decommissioning, and final site clean-down. We coordinate closely with your facilities, colocation, and IT teams to minimise disruption.
Do you handle the secure removal of live storage media?
Yes. All storage media (HDDs, SSDs, tapes) are tracked under strict chain-of-custody and can be securely wiped or physically destroyed on-site or at our facility, with certificates of destruction provided.
Can you work around our operational windows?
Absolutely. We plan clearances around your maintenance windows, migration schedules, and colocation access constraints, including evenings and weekends where required.
What happens to the decommissioned equipment?
Where possible we recover value through refurbishment and resale. Equipment with no residual value is processed through licensed WEEE recycling with full audit trail and certification.
